About the Event:

It's our 3rd birthday & it's Juneteeth so what better way to celebrate than with a trip to the waterfalls Sponsored by Arc'teryx! 

Transportation will be provided to the trails. We will also supply snacks and water for you to enjoy, so please bring a reusable water bottle. We will be supplying box lunches so make sure you have a bag big enough to carry lunch, snacks & water. 

No shoes, no problem, Arc'teryx will be supplying a demo fleet of hiking shoes. First come first served tho! 

We will be meeting at Arc'teryx Rush Street Starting at 8:00AM! We will be having a pre-party with breakfast, vendors, raffles & more! 

The bus leaves at 9:30AM. Please arrive 30 mins before the bus leaves. You will need time to sign the waivers, grab a raffle ticket, eat breakfast  & pack your lunch.

If you were interested in going camping in Washington with us this summer, Chevon (not me) from Golden Bricks Events will be there to talk and answer any questions. 

What to expect: 

Starved Rock: This hike is about 6 miles round trip. The route is considered hard for beginner hikers due to the many steps and hills. If you can not complete a hard hike, please reconsider signing up. There are a TON of steps, seriously. You can expect to see waterfalls and canyons such as Wildcat canyon, lovers leap overlook, Lone tree Canyon & so much more. Expect to be on trail for about 2-3 hours.

After the hike we will load up the bus and head 5 mins up the street to  Matthiessen State Park for 1 hour lunch in the picnic area. Afterwards  depending on time and how everyone is feeling we will hike to the waterfall there.

Matthiessen State Park: is an easy to moderate hike due to the slick and steep canyons descending down to the waterfall. This hike is a short 1-2 miles because we will only do about half the loop. But do not underestimate the intensity of getting over to the falls. You will get wet so bring an extra pair of shorts, socks & shoes. Expect this hike to take 30 mins to an hour because y'all gonna wanna take a lot of pictures because it is so cute!!! 

FAQ's 

When can I sign up? As you know, we drop tickets 10 days before the event. The link will be on the June newsletter first on June 11th. Then the link will be HERE on June 12th at 6PM CST if spots do not fill up from the newsletter. 

Why is the form unavailable/ link not working? That is because we are out of tickets or its before June 12, 2025. We are only able to accommodate 42 people on this trip. We close the sign up when capacity has been met. 

Will you be supplying transportation? yes. 

Can we meet you there? We are only offering the bus option at this time. Due to liability and limited resources you can not just meet us at the trailhead.  

Can I or a friend tag along without a ticket? No, all participants must have a ticket. Tickets cannot be purchased on the day of the event. 

Is there parking? Paid street parking is all over Gold Coast, but we recommend taking public transportation. 

How do I know if I secured a spot? You will receive a confirmation as soon as you register.
